HOLLY VILLAGE PRESIDENT

MEET

CANDIDATE FOR

Why I'm Running

I am running for Holly Village President to be a true voice of the people. We've seen residents ask for one thing, and Village leadership do the opposite.  Representatives should represent the people - and that's exactly what I intend to do.

My priorities

Remove Expired Water Bonds from Monthly Bill
Make Public Records Available for Public View
Hire New Legal Representation
Plan for Infastracture Improvements
Agressivly Seek Grant Opportunities
Let Small Businesses Thrive Through Only Necessary Regulations
Protect our Green Spaces and Historic Charm
Make Government Work for the People

My story

I didn't plan to get into politics, but it fell into my lap - or more specifically, in my mailbox. I got involved in local government because like many, I opened my property tax bill and thought, what exactly am I paying for?

That question led me to attend Village meetings since Village tax is the highest line item we pay for. What I found was a pattern of decisions being made without careful attention to budgets, long-term impact, or what residents are asking for.

I stayed, I listened, and then I spoke up. And when questions weren't answered, I filed public records requests. What started as a search for clarity about water rates and village operations, grew into a deeper effort to make sure tax dollars are tracked, ethics rules followed, and residents get transparent information.

I'm running because too many people feel shut out or belittled for asking questions. I believe our village government should be transparent, careful with every dollar, and respectful of every resident. I'm running to work for people and to bring your voice back into the room.

I can't do it alone.
