My story

Robert Montgomery is a fourth-generation Holly resident with deep roots in the community. His grandparents were actively involved in Holly’s early growth, establishing a tradition of service and investment in the town their family called home.

Robert was raised in Holly, attended Holly schools, and graduated before continuing his education at the University of Michigan. He later moved to Pennsylvania, where he began a career focused on construction and infrastructure.

Over the next 50 years, Robert gained extensive experience managing complex projects, coordinating people and resources, solving problems, and planning for long-term success. His background taught him that strong communities depend on sound infrastructure, responsible management, and leaders who understand how today’s decisions will affect future generations.

After decades away, Robert returned home to Holly with a desire to give back to the community that shaped him. As the son of two veterans, he was raised with a strong respect for service, responsibility, and commitment to others. Robert also co-founded Holly First, an organization created to invest in Holly and encourage thoughtful economic development within the community.

Now, Robert wants to put his decades of infrastructure and management experience to work for Holly. He believes our community deserves careful planning, responsible leadership, and practical solutions that will strengthen Holly while preserving the character that makes it feel like home.
